Sometimes life is just about always having fun and having a way to look back on it. Isn't that what pictures do for us? They allow us to have a glimpse of our past to look back on and enjoy, laugh at, admire or just serve as little reminders of where we came from.
Music is like that for me as well, and I think beyond enjoying sharing it, it's why I have spent the last 24 years or so recording what I can. Granted, technology made the process easier. I probably have cassette tapes, and in fact I know I do, but I'd have to do some serious digging and don't even have a tape deck anymore.
Nonetheless, this is a recording I did, the first done "electronically" or rendered electronically back in 2001. Just me and my old Applause (Ovation style) steel acoustic/electric and me.
I don't even have the guitar anymore. But the recording remains. This one is an Oasis song, "All Around the World."

You know what’s funny? I actually have a tape deck. I bought a new record player a few years ago, and there is a tape deck, CD player, and radio built into the unit. Now, if I only knew where my box of old cassettes was at…

@porwest I’d probably laugh while listening to those cassettes, as I’m sure the sound quality on them is horrible after years of playing them.

@moffittjc Cassettes were interesting beasts in and of themselves. You'd hear the music go wonky and you knew right away, the tape is wrapping itself around the spools. Crap! lol

@LindaOHio It flies after 18, I have found. Way, way too fast.

Technology sure has changed a lot since then. I'm glad you still have that old recording.

We have a few old tapes and nothing to play them on too. We should really toss them out.
