Telegram discussion with "Paul McCartney"

I got a friend request from "Paul McCartney." I don't really think that this superstar really spends his time on Telegram friending random people. I know that this person can't be who he says he is, but it is kinda fun to dream that I am in contact with a famous person. Now he wants me to buy tickets to his latest concert . . . in Canada. I can't find online a Paul McCartney concert in Canada, so I will pass on that. Has this ever happened to you?

Oh, yes, loads of times. There are loads of people out there on the internet pretending to be other people. I got a friend request on Facebook from "Sam Ryder." More than once, actually. I just ignore it. I know Sam Ryder has got better things to do than send friend requests to random people on Facebook. There are also fake Andre Rieu accounts, fake Ioan Gruffudd accounts and fake Dirk Benedict accounts. In fact I don't think there's a celebrity out there who hasn't had fakers pretending to be them. And Facebook doesn't do anything about it because it doesn't go against their community guidelines or whatever.

I wrote to Paul McCartney's management and they wrote back only one sentence. It's a scam. So I will just stop responding to the person.

@lifecoachjerusalem Yes, that's a good idea. I never take any notice of these fakes. But some people believe they are real!
