On the event of Krishna Janmashtami Lord Krishna is worshipped all over India

For the Hindus Lord Krishna is the God workshipped by all the people. His sermons in the Bhagvat Gita is a holy text book mentioning path of life and karma. On Krishna janmashtami new clothes are bought for idols of Lord Krishna and flowers and fruits are offered. Mantras are chanted and sweets are distributed among neighbourhood.
