Things are going "normal" for the way I feel...

I got up this morning, rather reluctantly, and decided to just go ahead and get dressed. I needed to finish paperwork on my apartment lease and even maybe work on some bears and other critters. (The Horse has given me some ideas for the "other critters"). I kicked back and gathered the energy to get dressed, then gave the brats their morning cat treats and for the 2nd time in 3 months actually had breakfast. About 11:30 I made the journey down to the mailbox to check if I got anything, but first I dumped the used kitty litter. I have a sealed canister that I put the used litter in and once a week I take it down and dump it. (I have a gallon zip lock bag that it gets put in so it's easy to carry down. The aroma is guaranteed to knock you cold if you're on the elevator with me when I dump it...the property manager about fainted dead away when she demanded to know what I did with the litter and I showed her the canister, and she opened the lid. I held my breath or I would have been on the floor. Anyhow, the pound of fresh kitty litter became 7 pounds with two cats using it for their bathroom. I got back up from the "trek" for the mail and dumping the litter and I sat with my cup of tea and noticed a strange sound coming from the direction of the refrigerator. I hoped hard that the fridge wasn't going bad, it would be awful!!! With the elevator out there wouldn't be a way to get a new one up stairs. Finally I figured I had better check and see if it was something I could fix (I learned about fixing washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other appliances. I got closer and I noticed that an "empty" box on my work table was moving around. I peeked in and the source of the odd refrigerator noise was solved. I breathed a deep sigh of relief. I quietly turned around and went back and sat down. I keep forgetting about the one problem that causes a lot of noise around the refrigerator. It has four paws, a long tail, blue eyes and loves to snuggle down in odd places. Her name is Freya. She decided to nap in an empty box that she had been clawing for quite awhile and I had to move fthe fur pieces into a larger box that she wasn't busily clawing. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to get a picture of her in her "odd" spot. Last night I about jumped outta my skin. I reached in the container for the 40 pack of water and curled up in the middle of the bottles was this self same blue eyed mischief maker. I grabbed a handful of her instead of a bottle of water, and got a kitty kiss instead. I keep feeling awful for people that don't see beyond the phrase "animals are dirty" (like humans aren't) and accept one into their life and get to see that they too have unique personalities and give love... Keep on lovin them people!

@BearArtistLady We both know the answer to that question . Mine does make a noise at times and has for years. Hoping it keeps going.

I won't be without any babies in the house. I don't take a place if they don't allow pets. Speaking of babies, Petey just came out of his hiding place behind the television...probably a trip to the potty box.

I think the most fun I had with one of my cats hiding was just after I had moved in with my mom. We were going to town (an hour drive) and mom went into her bedroom, grabbed her purse and hopped into the car. We went about 5 miles down the road and we heard a MEOW. We looked at each other and I promptly stated that I hadn't put a cat in the car, and mom denied it. Then it meowed again. We stopped the car and mom picked up her purse, opened the flap and a little Siamese head popped out. Mom about jumped out of her skin, and it didn't do much for the cat's nerves either. We turned around and drove her home and I gave her a saucer of warmed cream while mom checked the car for more cats. I checked the house and everyone was accounted for, so we went on our way.
