Freegle comes up trumps again!

Last week we were on holiday in Wales (my home country). I have a small place there which I inherited as a derelict wreck and have spent a few years getting renovated. It’s basically a little home from home and is equipped with almost all the usual household items. Just a few small things are still ‘needed’ (I say that in inverted commas because it’s not strictly true that they are essential). But I did think that a spoon rest would be nice. True, I could just use a plate as my partner suggested, but that takes up a lot more room. Anyway I mentioned to the family that a spoon rest would be useful and to keep an eye out for one – but then the very next day, when we were home again, someone just a couple of streets away happened to offer two on Freegle! Of course I said ‘Yes please, just what I’m looking for!’ and they said I could have my pick. So now I’m all set for the next visit. Yay for Freegle!
