Thanks to the teamwork of the Edgewater Police Department and the Edgewater Animal Control officers who answered an emergency call from a resident who saw a six foot alligator who was trespassing on the front porch of a resident on Wednesday August 21.
The alligator was wrangled by both the police officers and animal control officers managed to capture the alligator in the Florida Shores home and handed over to a licensed trapper where the alligator who was not harmed was taken away to a body of water safely and away from a residence.

I am in agreement with you that the alligator just wanted to pay a visit to the homeowner.

The closeness of suburbia to wild animal habitats, probably causes more of this type of visitation to occur, unless, the alligator belonged to an enemy of the owner, and who was trying to get their own back on him, with such a gift.

I think that the first part of why the alligator went into the front porch was due to closeness of suburbia.

I'm glad the alligator wasn't harmed and was taken to another "home".

Other than seeing small snakes and mice on the front porch of my former houses. No wild animals.
