A semi truck pulling a flatbed trailer overturned on U S Highway 101 in Santa Maria California on Wednesday that caused red peppers to cover some lane of the highway which caused the California Highway Patrol as well as cleanup crews to clear the mess on the road.
To add more insult to injury, the semitruck hit a signpost that had a beehive that released bees in the area.
Robert Dias who is employed by Swarm Catchers answered the call to use a special vacuum to gather the bees and take them to another area safely..
How long was the delay on the highway due to the spill of red peppers is not known.

Oh no! Red peppers and bees! I'm glad the bees were gathered and relocated. I hope you're having a good weekend.

That's interesting about the bees too. I had never heard about vacuuming up bees. The truck accident led to the removal of the bees, so at least that was good.

I agree with you that using the vacuum to take care of the bees is new to me.

Wow, talk about a spicy situation! A truck spilling red peppers and then unleashing a swarm of bees? That’s like something straight out of a movie! Props to Robert Dias for swooping in to handle the bees safely. Sounds like quite the chaotic scene on the highway, and I bet it caused quite a bit of a delay. Hope everyone stayed safe amid all the buzz!

I believe that no one was hurt in the accident.
