Papayas - a memory

There was never dearth of papayas in our garden. I just took it for granted but now with global warming no trees survive. Papayas do not like too much water specially when they are at a sapling stage and have yet to grow. Cuckoos loved papayas and they too are now deprived. We get papayas in the market but they do not taste the same as what we have been getting from our garden A sad story

Food always tastes better from your own garden.

It is affecting both the flora and fauna adversely not to speak of what it does to us human beings as well.

Sorry for the drastic change. Global warming is hitting every part of the globe. Here in Kenya indigenous mangoes no longer bear fruit. Grafted ones do but have s short lifespan of about 7 years, then the just dry up or die.

I feel as though I am in a different garden - a garden that had yielded every fruit tree that exists there.
