I had an early breakfast.

Good morning, friends. The day is chilly again and I made a quick breakfast while I heated the seed bag. I´ll try to avoid turning on the gas heater. I have been spending a lot more than what I should have. So I´m in bed again while the sun decides whether to come out or hide for the whole day. The highest temperature is supposed to be 68° F so it will be fine. I asked Jorge yesterday to buy some plastic containers to place things I had in the drawers I gave Leticia. But I omitted the size and I have now 2 giant drawers. I think that if I ever want to move them, I´ll have to put away clothes there of other light things. It seems that I´ll have to spend more energy on checking what I want if I want to move. It is absolutly impossible to put books in those containers. Nobody would be able to move them. So, for my books, I will have to ask for small cartons that come with the groceries. Only there I will be able to have books that can be moved. All this is thinking about months or even years. I don´t know when and if I´ll sell this house and move elsewhere. Nothing is easy in this world, friends. Worse still, when you are old. This began as a post and ended as a rant. Sorry.

I feel that mylot takes now the place of the diary I had when I was a child. With the extra that there are nice people who help me.

@marguicha so true!!! I agree with that. Except that here, people from all over read it. It's like an open diary

Fortunatly I am in no hurry. If I can do it easily I´ll be happy. If I can´t, I´ll go on using just part of my house.

@RebeccasFarm I was elated when my daughter paid me back the money she owed me. Now I can stay here for 3 or 4 more years. And at my age, that´s a lot.

Use small boxes for the books, I remember when we moved here, we have to re-package those we placed in large boxes, it was impossible to lift them.

myLot is a safe place to just vent out our emotions. So, it is okay to rant. You have patient listening ears here. That's why it's a wonderful community . What are seed bags? Something to keep you warm? I am curious to know.

I made abag with cotton fabric (I used a piece of an old sheet) and filled it with rice. I place that filled bag in the microwave oven for 3 minutes and then inside my bed. For me it is better and safer that a hot water bottle.

@marguicha Oh! I see. I never thought of it. It's something new I learnt today.

I always have to use smaller boxes when I move, I can't lift the heavy ones, either. Like you, I went back to bed today. In three days, I think I got 6 total hours of sleep. I was absolutely ready to fall over...my son was finally resting, and I took full advantage of his sleep and crashed. He woke up earlier, ate some oatmeal, and went back to sleep a bit ago for a nap. Let's hope this is the start of a good round of health and sleep for all of us! Stay warm, Marga! It's supposed to be a record low tonight of 41 degrees here. But next week, in the 90's again. This is weird weather!

@marguicha And I will be happy when Fall is truly here, and we no longer have the sickening, intense heat.

I always had trouble moving my books. I would put a layer of books in a box then top it up with plastic ware or clothes.
