Jacob Jensen and Mason Willet went fishing with Jacob's grandfather Vern Wagner on Sunday aboard Vern's boat near a lake near Mille Lacs when they saw a 14 year old named Chester who had trouble staying afloat five feet of water when Jacob and Mason jumped into the lake to rescue the dog who was out like a light when Jacob took the dog to the dock and he began to give the dog chest compressions.
Both Jacob and Mason took first aid course three years ago when they were in the sixth grade when Mason went to find the owner of the dog who was found by Mason a short time later.
The owner of Chester had trouble walking since the 14 year old dog had been vaccinated for Lyme's disease.
The owner of the dog appreciated what Jacob and Mason did to save the life of his dog who did make a full recovery and is with his owner.
The two ninth graders who reside in Andover Minnesota admit that they did the right thing using CPR on a dog for the first time ever and they would do it again in the future.

They saved a 14 year old dog, and let's hope it still has a few more years to live with its owner, after being saved by those young heroes.
