Somehow my hair has turned blonde

Very strange. People at work this past week have been saying "I love your hair color!" and I was all "what?" I haven't had my hair done since June and I don't think I've had highlights done since a few months before that. My natural hair color is dark brown. These days I have a lot of gray. 
But I get the roots done regularly and foil highlights like every 6 months or so.
Well after a good look in the mirror yesterday I was like "holy crap I'm now blonde". That never was a goal. I guess it was the combination of sun and chlorine that stripped color out of my hair. My ex even commented on it and said he liked it. I was like "I'm not trying to be blonde!"
Chantal isn't responding to my texts so I need to find another place to get my hair done. At this point I need roots, a trim, and more tinsel. Not many places do tinsel though. My neighbor used to work at ULTA and I think they do it there. I will talk to her when she gets back from work today. I also want toner on this crazy blonde hair. Blonde was never the goal.

Bleached by the sun I would say, I thought my hair would become pure white when I stopped coloring it. My grandma had lovely white hair. What has happened is that I have white in my bangs and most of the rest of my hair has become the brown color of childhood, Could I suddenly be getting younger?
