Laundry is just not the same

The recent storms had made it difficult to do laundry since the rain lasted for days. Even if there's a shed for the washed clothes, it could take days for them to dry. Plus were running out of clothes hangers. Either they broke them or gets chew up by dogs when it falls on the ground. Even if we still have the washing machine, it would be a fight for space to dry the clothes. So, recently, I resorted to having my clothes done by the laundry service shop. Personally, I don't like paying for my laundry. But recent storms made it difficult to do it myself. At least they got it done ( even folding clothes ) by just one day. I still do manual in other clothes, specially ones that were not included in the 8kg limit. At least for me, it became convenient. Have a nice day.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll do from now on @wolfgirl569 since I pill it up every week. You're right it's worth it.

At least you got your clothes cleaned. Was it expensive?

When my mom went to Japan, she did her laundry by hand at my grandmother's and hung them out to dry. It was so muggy in the summer rain that it took over 3 days to dry!

I can't afford to do that over here since there's more than one person in this household @much2say. And specially when there's a storm.

@Letranknight2015 True. My washing machine broke down last 2021 after 10 years of use. Then go to laundry shop for a few months. We bought a new once a 6 months after because it was pandemic still and it was difficult to go out

I can relate to what you are saying since sometimes the washing machine or the dry cleaner is in need of repair on rare occasions which requires my relatives and myself to have the clothes taken to a laundry store for a few days until the repairs are made.

Sometimes, you’ve just got to go with the flow, and it sounds like the laundry service was a lifesaver with all that rain! It’s nice that they handled everything quickly, even folding the clothes. Balancing between doing laundry manually and using a service seems like a practical approach. Hope things dry out soon and you can get back to your usual routine. Have a great day!

Yes they really did me a favor @Faster16 and it was cheap price at that. There are other laundry shops, they were probably the only ones offering that service.
