A hog that must have gotten away from its owner in Corpus Christi Texas on Sunday a week ago made news when a television news crew from television station KIII as well as a couple who was outside of Word Incarnate Academy who managed to feed the hog some chicken feed they had inside of their auto when the news crew alerted animal control officers. Corpus Christi Animal Control Officer Araceli Salaris was able to carry the hog after it got tired from running around on Monday. Officer Salaris who is female showed compassion with the hog by getting the hog inside of her truck with air conditioning until the hog was taken to the sheriff's annex where the owner of the hog has 15 days to pick up his or her pet or the hog will be finding a new home. Hogs are pigs, I use hog since the word pig has a negative taste.

@anya12adwi Pigs is a nickname for police officers that is distasteful.

Just as long as they don’t kill it. I mean let it go to a sanctuary, not a slaughterhouse.

I am in agreement with you that the hog will either be returned to its owner or sent to a new home.

Hogs are very strong but if they are tame they might be easy to get into a car.

That lady must have been pretty strong to be able to carry an onerous hog like that. It was good it was captured before an accident occurred, and a car damaged.

I am in agreement with you that Araceli had to be strong to life a hog or she had help from someone else.

I'm so glad the hog was captured before it was injured. Officer Salaris was very kind to share her truck and AC with the animal.

Another loose hog! I remember you posting another time about one getting loose. Glad the animal control was able to "bring home the bacon."

Hogs, can be hard to catch, we had some and when they would get out it was rough getting them back in the pen. Glad they caught it.

@Deepizzaguy I used to hate when they got out of the pen. They can run too.

@popciclecold That is what I have noticed about hogs that can run fast and messing with them can be fatal.

The same thing that they have told you in the comments, I hope that the pig will be fine once they catch it and not take it to a slaughterhouse or somewhere like that
