Trying something new

Today I went somewhere I had never been before--a local marijuana dispensary. Recreational pot is legal in New Jersey and this place opened up about 2 years ago. I've never been big into marijuana but that Interlock thing in my car stresses me out. Like I had a drink with lunch yesterday and I was all freaked out this morning that it would register even though I know that wasn't possible. So I decided to get some gummies to sleep and something to just relax during the afternoon.
My coworker said that the employees are very helpful and I have to say that he was correct. I told the woman that I had no clue what I was looking for. She asked what my goals were. She recommended tablets that you take like a regular pill called "Chill" and said that they start working in 20-40 minutes. 20 tablets cost $20. The other thing she recommended was a product called Fast Asleep. Those are gummies that take 5-15 minutes to start to work rather than the typical 45 minutes to an hour. 20 of those cost $30. Hey it will be worth it if it does in fact help me to stay asleep.
The bottles definitely are child-proof and apparently they are NJChicaa-proof too. It took me a good 15 minutes to get into the sleep gummies. I still can't open the Chill pills. I asked my neighbor to stop up here when she gets back. She is good at that kind of stuff and I also need her to help me change the batteries in the key fobs for my car. They arrived today. I've one of them in pieces but I can't figure out how to remove and replace the battery. If she can't do it then I will ask my ex to stop by. He can figure out anything.
So begins my introduction to the world of recreational pot. Whoever would have thought it? My dad would be proud. My mother and my dad's best friend found his secret stash in the garage after he passed when they were cleaning it out.

Pot is illegal in Florida except for medical purposes. Just be careful with that and don't drive if you have had some. WEspecially if you don't know how it'll affect you. I hope it works out though.

@NJChicaa I can understand how you feel. George set his off a few times throughout the year he drove with it. Over stupid stuff, too. I can understand your anxiety.

It has been legal for several years here too. I go every once in awhile to pick up gummies. They work great.
