I got a lot done without working hard today. Finally cleaned the chicken tote. I had noticed that one doesn't seem to walk much. Even when I was catching them it didn't. So I don't think it will grow all the way up. . If it does I will have it butchered as adult chickens are mean to weak ones. Plus I wouldn't want to accidentally hatch any eggs from it.
I got everything straightened up and put away in chicken Knox and the run. The only thing left is to put nest boxes in. I will get that done soon. They can roost on the edges for now.
I also got some cleaning done in the carport. It is looking better now. I also have my rope lights plugged in out front. Hopefully they come on tonight.
Hope you had a good day.

Good luck with your chickens...wish we could have some here..I loved taking care of them on my Uncle's farm...well...except for the Rooster...he did not like me.

It seems you have built them a safe and secure, nice home. I know that often there is a weak chick, it seems, and you are right, they will pick on the weak one. Sounds like a busy day!

I paid for 10 and got 11 so I can't complain. I was getting hopeful that all of them would make it.

We had them as pets - five of them and we named them Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Theta and Omega. The one who survived last was Gamma. He lived for 12 years.

Some of these will get butchered as I know a few will be roosters.
