Good cloudy morning.

We haven't gotten rain yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got some. George is sitting on the front porch getting some fresh air before I have to get started on that. He's been pretty good about taking his medicine and sleeping about five hours in our bed, after dozing off on the couch for about two. He's slowly started getting back to falling asleep around the time he used to before the stroke, give or take about an hour. It's not much, but it's an improvment. I think the slightly cooler air has a lot to do with it, too.
He lately has been drinking the equlivent of two glasses of milk a day. So, there's that. It's better then him not taking anything by mouth.
At this point, I'm just trying to take things one day at a time.

I am sure with the cooler weather, it is much more pleasant to spend some time outside. I know that is the case for me. Although, this weekend it was a bit too cool for me to enjoy the pool. Maybe this weekend. We don't have much season left before we will have to close it.

Pools here are usually open year-round because it's rarely too cold.

@porwest We occassionally get days in the 50's and 60's but they don't last more then a day or two and then it's back in the 70's and 80's.

@kaylachan I would imagine that to be the case. Those Florida winters, to me, would be awesome.

No idea how it all happened with George since this is the first time I came across your post/account. But that's good news to hear that he's getting better. My mother-in-law never actually became one for me because aside from stroke, she also got diabetes and brain tumor.

To make a long story short, back in November, George had a stroke and has been trying to recover ever since.

@piyoz000 He doesn't do it in one sitting. He does it over a 24-hour period.

Over here it looked like rain then the sky over the river became blue, Now clouds are rolling in, I am so waiting for cooler air. Glad to hear George progressing and drinking milk.

I think he over did it. Although he ate some chips. I'll try again to offer him dinner with his evening pill.

I guess you have to appreciate the small steps that George is making following his stroke.
Hope you have a good day

I know you do all you possibly can do for George. Two glasses of milk is great,
I, too have found myself taking just one day at a time lately. It’s all I can do. We celebrate the small victories as well.
