Caught on the Wrong Foot (2)

The sun was sending down merciless heat on me. I stopped under the shed of a pharmacy. I cleaned the spark plug and tried to kick start. No success. Finding no way out , I began to push the bike hoping to find a mechanic anywhere. After pushing the vehicle for about one a half kilometer found a motorcycle mechanic. He said he could not do it immediately. I had to leave the bike at his garage. Hoping the bike was repaired I went to the garage on Tuesday. It was not ready. On Wednesday, I went there at 11. It was not ready. The man said the silencer needed to be washed or operated( literally to cut the silencer open). He told me to take the bike in the afternoon. I returned home. Had my lunch, had a siesta and then went to bring the bike at 5 . The fellow charged me Rupees 4000 (about 55 USD)for all the repair work. I was glad to get the motorcycle back. Without it quite much of my work was stalled. I have a feeling I was really caught in the wrong foot. However, all this had a bright side. The vehicle needed a revamp soon and it was forced upon me not too far from home.

Now a days, nothing comes for cheap. The prices and service charges are shocking.. Anyways, hope that he did a job worth every penny and your bike is good to go for long time.

I'm glad you have the bike fixed now. It must have been very difficult trying to function without it.
