Is Video Games an Art?

Many people here must have playing video games or PC games.
However, did any one of you will treat it as an Art as we do for movies/films and animation! And in what element that you will treat it as an Art.

of course video games are an art for, from their very origins we can see a steady development in their sophistication and the technology involved in them. But further to this because of the progression we see, they are also historical documents, from times when the genre was in its infancy to today, they reflect not only technological advance but also political opinion of the day

So, many people regarded the graphic using in the game is an Art!
Dont u agree!?
While I do concern is Game means entertainment and giving people fun and enjoy the context or story that given by the game!
If the story line and the Gameplay not good, the game even had impressive graphics are still a failure!
So the Art in Game is depend on Story and Gameplay!
