So we ran into town earlier. MIL wanted ribs, and said she'd pay for the things we needed to make them if we went and got the ingredients and I cooked. Hard to pass that offer up, so we loaded up and went into town. We went into Winn Dixie to grab ribs which were BOGO. So we got about 4 pounds of country style pork ribs for $8.75. We got Mac and cheese. I can make homemade- but didn't feel like it. So we got Kraft. With the liquid cheese. It was $2.99. Got a can of maple bacon baked beans for $2.50 and can't have ribs without cornbread. So I got some jiffy honey cornbread mix for $0.80 So for roughly $15.04, I fed four of us. You can't beat that. Rib dinner with two sides and bread for four people for under $20! How's that for pinching pennies ?

Gotta do it somewhere. Insurance doesn't cover everything and meds are expensive lol

When they are done right they are one of the best things you can make! I need to get bigger ones next time. But it was good and it wasn't that expensive.

@jstory07 These didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. There wasn't;t as much fat on the ribs. and I could've let them boil for a little longer before sticking them in the oven.

@thislittlepennyearns And now going through some of your older posts I am seeing a bunch of my comments never liked or responded to. No wonder my myLot bank isn't moving.

I dearly love cornbread. I made some this past week, it always disappears fast. I had made ham and beans, which we really like, but you have to have cornbread with that! We love ribs. My son in law loves to fix them, and his are just to die for. You fed 4 people for less than $4 each, good job!

Corn bread is one of those things so many people enjoy that I just don't care for. Neither does the wife. I guess we're just weird. lol
