Good morning, dear friends.
The word "spring" says it all. It is sunny and I am mylotting on (not in) bed. I don´t need to cover myself up to my ears and it is even easier to be lazy.
I have to go for my breakfast now. I woke up, turned on the TV and theere was a documentary about candies in the US. And I started to think that even candy is a cultural thing.
I first saw the bright corn shaped candy when I was 11 and went to the US. And there were tastes that I had never tried and would not eat again such as root beer.
Much later, when I went to Mexico, I discovered that children´s candy was hot. Children were started in the jalapeño and other hot chiles in their cradle.
All sorts of food are cultural. Here, expensive hotels often offer "American breakfast". I love it and it has nothing to do with what I eat. It includes pancakes, eggs, bacon and all sorts of sausages. My breakfast as a child was usually bread and butter or/and homemade jam. Cakes were made at home for occations.
What sort of food and candy belong to your culture?
As for now, I´ll go for breakfast. I have a ripe avocado and will mash it to serve with a toasted bun. Coffee on the side, of course. See you.

America is such a potpourri of different foods from different cultures. We will always enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill for holidays. Americans eat a lot of different candies. My favorite is jelly beans. Have a good week. I'm glad it's getting warmer for you.

Glad it's getting warmer there. Candy is sweet here. Breakfast is usually egg and bacon or sausage
