Any MAC users

Hey I have a great IMAC but fooling around I set a password that I cant remember thats not the problem. My daughter broke my os x install disc. Is there any way to reset the admin password without the os x install disc...Please advise

you should be able to go up to www.apple.com OR www.mac.com and go to downloads and perhaps get a download of the upgraded os X for your imac. I do this a lot although passwords we made fairly easy for ourselves. Hope that helps out a little but, plus you should be able to ask for tech support while you are there in that website! good luck

The user you're able to log in as doesn't have admin privileges, right? Did you make another boot disc? You might have better luck asking on one of the Mac newsgroups, or one of the forums devoted to Mac support.
