What do you do when you don't have electricity for three hours at night?

Yesterday, at 9 PM, we were without electricity. I couldn't sleep so soon, so I used a power bank, but it is very old and it doesn't support fast charging. I was worried the food would spoil in the fridge. At midnight, the electricity came back. I cleaned my room using a flashlight. A power bank is very useful when we don't have electricity. I can't imagine staying in the dark for three hours without a flashlight and a power bank. My phone wasn't charged. I couldn't do many things without electricity. That power bank charged my phone, but very slow. I was very anxious waiting for electricity to come back. Maybe most people would sleep, but my sleep is delayed and I can fall asleep at 1 AM.

Since we are susceptible to that scenario. I bought a heavy duty power bank that can supply electricity to our internet all day and night long plus some other gadget.

@dya80dya o e of my power bank cost around $25. We used it when we travel for three days out of town, we never even recharge it and when we're home there is still remaining power

If the power is off at night, not too much you can do. My kindle is usually charged already so I use that.

since i went sleeping around 10 p.m. this week, i wouldn't suffer much but on weekend, i go later so, i would feel frustrated, of course. i am sorry this happened to you. the only comfort is it didn't happen during the day; i feel the time would pass by slower then.

During the day it would be better. It would be easier because without electricity we can read, we can clean a room, we can do so many things. But if it's night and we can't sleep what can we do?

That was challenging for sure. I did have such experience a long time ago. Now , I keep a power bank and flashlights all charged up in case of emergencies. Phone should be charged whenever possible , but in these situations where we cannot predict , we have to go to power bank. Again, most people would have gone to sleep and wake up when power comes back .Atleast you managed with some struggle the entire the 3 hours. Glad the ordeal did not last more than 3 hours. See , if you can be better equipped if such situations arise next time.

I hate it when the electricity goes out, especially at night. I’m so spoiled!

If the phone does not support fast charging then it can damage the IC, it is better to adjust the power bank to the existing device. There is nothing I can do when there is no electricity, because all my devices need electricity unless I have a UPS as a backup power.
