Melania Trump says she stands by her nudie pictures

Seriously. She posted a short video today on Twitter/X (ironically NOT her husband's failing social media site) asking "Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work? The more pressing question is: Why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot? We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self expression." The video then included images of classic art sculptures including Michelangelo's David. Wait. WUT? Is Melania seriously comparing her tacky escort nude photo shoots to classic Renaissance art? And this is the woman that MAGA claims is the classiest First Lady ever? She wasn't celebrating art. She was celebrating the Benjamins. And all I can ask is WHY? I mean I already know the answer--her memoir is being released next month so she is generating publicity for it. But of all of the things to highlight, seriously, her posing naked for magazines? Not Be Best. Not being a devoted mother to Barron. Not becoming a US citizen. Nope. She is reminding the public that she took off her clothes for money. (and don't get me wrong I don't judge someone for that) The Trump campaign must be absolutely melting down between the perfect storm of Trump's insanity/dementia, JD Vance's continuously digging himself into a hole, and now Melania highlighting that she modeled naked. I read that the campaign was blindsided by the video and I am totally not surprised. Melania's reputation is that she does what she wants when she wants without regard to Trump. It also kind of highlights the ongoing question here about if she loves her husband. Why would she bring this topic up now of all times? It certainly isn't going to help him with the independents and women that Trump is trying to attract as voters.
