Just Stop -A Follow-up

I apparently set off a huge conversation on a recent politically oriented post. This is a follow-up to that for clarity sake. Any political figures,or their followers,on either side of the aisle encouraging violence against political rivals is wrong. People inevitably have things they (often strongly) disagree with each other on,fine, that's life. I get that politics is a hot button issue, but there are ways to deal with disagreement without psychotic behavior. I really wish sanity would return to the political arena in my country at large. We have the ability to vote for a reason, THAT is how you make your choices known and your voice heard, so to speak.

Unless you know someone totally agrees with you, best to avoid politics on a mixed site.

People seem to get more violent every year and are eager to hurt each other.

I agree. Some people here get all hot and bothered when it comes to politics. Have a good weekend.

I have seen that political and religious discussions can take ugly turns. I try to avoid them. I have strong opinions on both of these topics but I refrain from discussing them. I enjoy the healthy debates that we often have in our friends and family, where I feel safe about expressing.
