I finally got back from my youngest throat swap. They did a culture over the weekend to find out if he has strep or not for sure because they only test for strep with a fast test. Well, his culture came back today, and of course, his results show that he does have strep like his big brother, who has a few more days on his own antibiotic. Now I'm thankful the doctor did send a script to be filled for my youngest to have an anatomic for him so that I can go and pick them up this afternoon for him. Also, I will have to remind the little guy to switch out his toothbrush.

Well at least it's easily treatable. antibotics do well against it.

That's true; as long as he doesn't react to it, we'll have to switch and start over again. Crossing my fingers; this is only the second time I've ever had this one have antibodies. He's hardly ever sick, which is good, but bacteria happen.

@ShyBear88 You can do everything right and bad things still happen. At least you know how to handle it and what to look for.

@kaylachan, lol, that has nothing to do with the right or not the ring things. Some people are just allergic to it, which so happens to my husband and my daughter. Middle, who has strep first, is on different antibiotics because he is close in age to his sister, which means genetically, they are more alike. Littlest has a bit of an age gap but has a lot of food allergies but hasn't shown signs of medical allergies. Just how it is. Nothing is right or wrong.

Good to know he doesn't have strep throat.

lol, I think you need to read it again. You're missing the part where he has strep A, which is why he is getting antibodies. He had the script already. His rapid test came back negative, but his culture didn't, which means he has strep and needs antibodies to get the bacteria to go away.
