What? What happened? I have said that when people call and ask to speak to my friend, Constance (Connie) I tell them "No." So, this guy asks to speak to Constance. I say: "No." He asks again to speak to Constance. I say: "No." Again, emphatically. And, for the first time, he asked "Why?" "Because she's DEAD." Momentary silence. Then "I'm sorry for your loss." Click. Really, these calls for Constance have only really started this year. She's been dead over 7 years. Where are they getting MY number?

That's odd. Why do they get your number for Constance?

I don't know. I once got a phone call from someone who apparently escapped bail or something after I had my phone for seven years. I don't know, maybe someone had a falling out with her and finally decided to burry the hatchet.

Ya got me! We had a landline and that was where she got her phone messages. We had to change it back in 2018 when I was going to go on Medicare and, starting in January, the Medicare scammers started calling, despite my turning 65 in November.

I've had this number since... like 2000. While Connie did live with me for a while, she didn't for the last 12 years of her life.
