Gluten Free?

United States
September 20, 2024 12:48pm CST
I’ve been diagnosed with a pretty serious chronic illness that affects EVERYTHING, and unfortunately I’m reading I should cut gluten out, but bread IS MY GUILY PLEASURE and I’m so sad but I’ve noticed I get genuinely sick when I eat bread (I’m talking I sit and eat a whole baguette in one sitting). Any advice? Any gluten free foods in mind? Also how does one cut it out of their diet because it’s quite frankly in every single food item.

Sorry to know that. But aren't there any bread that are gluten free for you to eat?

Absolutely, there are many choices but unfortunately it’s just not the same.

I went gluten free for awhile to see if I would feel better. I bought a few gluten free cookbooks that were very helpful. I went through gluten withdrawal though as I didn’t realize how much gluten was in my diet at the time. It’s a heavy fruits, veggies and non fried foods diet.

It’s so delicious, but I notice when I don’t eat it I feel much better.

There are a lot of glution free options out there. Cutting it out is easy. Basically it's in weet barly and things like that. and there are alternitives fr bread, pasta, and all the things that could contain it. You wouldn't notice a differnce. as it's just a binding protien.

I used to cook for someone on a gluten-free diet. There are a lot of things you can eat. Meat or poultry, potatoes, vegetables, and fruits. You can buy or make gluten-free products including bread, cookies, cakes, etc.
