What's for din? September 22nd, 2024

I didn't make dinner tonight. Which was a nice treat. I also didn't get a picture of dinner. She child decided she wanted to make dinner, and I told her by all means she could. She made fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy. It was really good. I didn't have to cook, so win win. So that's what we had for dinner, what went on the table at your place?

I made Shepherd's Pie for the son, salad, homemade bread. If your daughter pulled that off, I would enlist her to make dinner at least once a week!

This makes me want Shepherd's pie. I have not made that in ages, but it's so good.

@MarieCoyle It really is, and I really need to make some. Now, if I can just get a good deal on ground beef. I'm out of it and won't buy it unless it's the right price.

@porwest I consider Shepherd's Pie a good comfort food.

She loves to cook. She'll usually bake muffins, and brownies, stuff like that without much asking.

@thislittlepennyearns It's a pity about he child. It's such a valuable life skill really. It can save young people such a lot of money when they're out on their own.

@JudyEv He's going to have to learn. I was actually shocked when he made ramen last week.

I would love for her to do it again. I would love even more for he child to care enough to learn how to cook. He'll be seventeen in a few months and he doesn't even like reheating stuff.

I didn't feel like cooking this evening, so pulled out a microwave meal. Not too bad
