Ryan Beierman who is 43 years old is grateful that his son Owen who is 12 year old took action to save Ryan's life on Friday September 6 when they went hunting near Siren Wisconsin when a black bear attacked Ryan when a bear charged at Ryan and began to maul him when Owen took action to shoot the bear and the life of the animal.
Ryan is grateful that his son knew what to do when a bear jumped his father in the woods. Ryan suffered an injury to his life cheek which required 23 stitches, fang marks on his forehead as well as puncture wounds on his right arm and leg.
Ryan and his son have a permit to hunt bears. The father and son are justified to kill a bear that came close to ending a life.

No hunters do not need permits to save their loved ones from animals attacking a human.

Encountering a bear in the woods is scary enough.

If the bear was about to kill his dad, I´d say the boy did not need a permit to kill the bear. But I worry about people and bear being so close.

Ryan is an agreement with you since he admitted that his son was scared after he killed the bear.

Wow! I'm glad Owen knew what to do. Bear attacks are brutal.

Being attacked by a bear is terrible for the human victim to deal with.
