Happy Wednesday Everyone! it's a dismal looking day with a bit of rain. Right now it's only drizzling and maybe that's all it's going to do today. I doubt we'll be getting any heavy rain or storms.
Today I switched from a short sleeve top to one that has three-quarter sleeves. Pretty soon it will be long sleeve weather. I have to laugh, though, because who would think that a mere few more inches on a shirt would make a difference.
With it being a rainy day that means my knees are complaining. They hate when the weather changes so I'm definitely not going to be doing a lot. Right now I'm sitting here with my coffee, the heating pad across my knees and the laptop. At least the dog hasn't decided she needed to be party of my party and is asleep on the other side of the sofa. She's all curled up on her little blanket and looks so cute.
Usually we have pasta on Wednesdays but since i made a beef stew yesterday there was plenty for leftovers. Instead of putting a container in the freezer for another day we decided to have it again tonight.
I don't mind eating the same thing two nights in a row. Do you?

We will do that. So, with your beef stew maybe you could have some biscuits, or other type of bread. We will be having some leftovers tomorrow.

You sound comfy and happy there in your corner of the mylot world. Don't mind leftovers two days in a row or even 3 if it is good, if it goes beyond that though, I am not a happy camper.

I wouldn't want to eat the same thing more than 2 days in a row.

Usually I don't have them two nights in a row and I like having extra in the freezer for another time

It's funny how an old break can still hurt when it rains. My knees hurt the most when it snows

@Marilynda1225 - My elbow kept me awake part of the night. I had a serious surgery after I broke it, I fear that aging I am developing arthritis in that elbow.

I usually cook the right quantity as I do not like eating the same thing two days in a row.

We often have the same thing twice in a row but sometimes it's with potatoes and the next time with rice.

I hope your knees are better. I love leftovers. No cooking and little cleanup. Have a good day.

Leftovers are a constant around here and I never tire of them. I don't waste food, of course. Leftovers are good to repurpose, and have for lunch to make sure we use it up. Plus, it saves money. Some nights, if we have a bit more leftovers than we'd like, we have what we call a smorgasbord night.

If there is leftover, I want to finish them before making something fresh. I have skipped cooking dinner today. I want to finish the leftovers from the day time.
I hope that your knees feel better soon. I am recovering from viral that I had last week. I am still feeling lack of energy.

Some things are better the second time around...chili, homemade vegetable soup, beef stew...they are always good the next day. I freeze a lot of leftovers so that we don't get tired of them.

I always eat leftovers until it is done. The only time I freeze leftovers is if my sister makes me food and freezes it before she brings it to my house.
I am having a pulled pork sandwich tonight that my sister brought from a caterer she used for a family party. she brought it frozen
the exception of fresh food my sister brings is she was going to Las Vegas last week and made two pounds of taco meat by accident and she is an empty nester now and she and her husband couldn't eat it all brought it to me. I ate most of it and froze quite a bit because it would be bad the day I froze it
Have a super day and give your cute doggie a big hug from me! my cat Onyx is lying on his bed on the dining room windowsill

Ah, I am still in a tank and shorts . We would love some of your rain. I'm still working on my left knee . . . weather doesn't seem to affect it but I do have to watch out for twisting and bending (it does not like stairs). Beef stew . . . I would have that all week if I could !

We had part of the day like that, but this afternoon the sunshine came out in between the clouds and made it quite nice. I went over to our son's place this afternoon after I finished work, and Granpa and the girls were walking home from the park, and they spied me and Harper ran as fast as she could, and she can run fast, to me. I had to part a few houses away from theirs as all of the spots on the street were taken. She ran to me with her little arms stretched out. It was quite cute.
