Good morning 9/26/ what would you cook using small soft tortillas if you accidentally bought too big of a package?

Good morning!
Last week I had some tacos and bought a package of soft tortillas that had a large amount. I didn't realize how many I was buying and now I have at least 40-50 small soft tortillas left.
I don't want to waste them because groceries are getting too expensive. Don't ask me how much my order from Walmart cost when I made it
what way would you cook them so as not to waste them?
do you use soft tortilla shells any way that is not in a taco?
Do you have any way to share?
Have you had tacos or other Mexican food lately? what do you put on your taco?

I wasn't sure if I could freeze them. Thank you for letting me know I can and for warning me to wrap well against freezer burn. I tend to put things in the freezer and not pay attention giving my food freezer burn.
what would I wrap them in? I freeze everything in plastic freezer bags with the zippers

@LovesEverybody I would wrap them in foil really tightly, and then put them in the freezer bags with zippers like you mentioned.

@AmbiePam that must be why the one time I froze something with foil they stayed good longer. I only did that because I had a lot to freeze and those plastic bags with the zippers were expensive.
I froze a dozen donuts in individual pieces of foil and it was successful. Thank you for the help

@rakski Quesadillas I think my mom would make these with cheese for my nephew when he came to my house with my sister to eat because he has been a vegetarian since he was 5 years old and didn't even know the term. He doesn't eat meat but eats dairy.
They are delicious! Thank you so much for suggesting them

@porwest what do you put in your quesadillas? My nephew only puts cheese in his. I don't think he eats them anymore as he is four hours away from home for college so my sister can't cook for him while away

You could make enchiladas with them. When does your peer come over again? They are easy to make but you might want some help.

Do they have recipes for frying the tortillas? I think putting them in a salad would make a sort of taco salad, wouldn't it? that is a good idea!

There's probably a million things you can do with them, but a couple I would definitely do would be to make enchiladas or make some breakfast burritos. If you had some cool salad bowl forms, you can bake them and make crispy bows and make salads in them.

@LovesEverybody Enchiladas are easy to make and very delicious. I hope you can find what you are looking for and make them.
As for the salad bowl forms, these are FANTASTIC. You simply take the tortillas, form them in the little pans, and bake them for like 20 minutes at 400 degrees and they come out crispy and delicious. You can fill them with whatever you want. Lettuce, taco meat, tomatoes, cheese, put sour cream on top. Yummy stuff.

I freeze mine and take them out when we want to use them.
Make burritos, with meat or beans and cheese, etc. Roll them, wrap them separately, and freeze them. Really good to just pull out of the freezer, heat, and eat. Also, you can make sandwich roll-ups. Some meat, like turkey or ham or deli meats of any type, cheese, etc. Add whatever you want to, they are delicious and fast.
Also, breakfast wraps are delicious. I generally cook some chopped onion and chopped bell pepper, use some meat that I already have, like a piece of ham chopped up, or some bacon, etc. Scramble some eggs with all of that, whatever I have managed to find to toss in there. I put the mixture in the shell, add shredded cheese, and roll them up. I wrap them up separately and then they go in the freezer. They are a great breakfast on the run.

Sorry, missed the question about the beans in the burritos.
There are no rules. if you don't like beans, leave them out. YOU are the creator, and you put in what you like.
My son made a wrap one day after Christmas from turkey, a dab of gravy, a bit of dressing, wrapped up and warmed up. He said it was good. Remember, no rules, you put in what you like.

@MarieCoyle the turkey wrap sounds delicious! I may put turkey deli meat and stuffing as my peer had me order stuffing this week so we can make it together next week. perhaps I can order gravy and put it with deli meat
I have read recipes for Thanksgiving leftovers and some people even put a slice of cranberry sauce on a sandwich with stuffing, turkey, and gravy along with whatever else is leftover. my sister gives me a pretty big "Doggie Bag" from my sister that she cooked for Thanksgiving and any other meal i have at her house
Thank you so much for making me remember about cranberry sauce. it reminded me that my peer opened a can for me Wednesday along with a can of green beans and I have a little bit left of both that I want to finish this weekend. she is always offering to open things for me

can one make burritos with meat only or do you have to add beans? I would be willing to try them but I get so sick when I eat any bean but green beans
Can you make burritos with really small soft tortillas? a little bigger in size than the part one drinks out of an average glass? I had a difficult time getting my meat, onion pepper, and sour cream on them when I used them for tacos. Even my sister commented they were "kind of small" but I already had my groceries home and no way back to change them to the particular Walmart I went to because he was by my oral surgeon and we went there for the results of my biopsy.
those breakfast wraps sound delicious and I will write down the directions and make them when I get some bigger tortillas as mine are way too small to fit that much. I don't mean to offend you.
My sister suggested I make scrambled eggs one day as I used to make them. She said if I put the knob on 4 it probably won't smoke when I make the eggs. I tend to put the knob on the highest.
However, I will get back to you with the sandwich roll-up. I bought Butterball Thanksgiving turkey deli meat yesterday at Walmart. I have some other things in the refrigerator to add. it is almost 10:30 a.m. My cat and I eat lunch at 11 a.m.
have a great beginning of the weekend!
