Yesterday midnight there was power outage for 30mins,i waked up from sleep, felt much sweat on my face and forehead.Air condition was turn off,the temperature within room hit 35°C,i lost sleep yesterday.Recently power outage often occured in apartment i rented. What i hated most is power outage happened during my sleep. Now it's summer, the temperature can get over 30°C.I slept with air condition on,without power, air condition stop work,i will wake up due to heat.I complain of this situation to landlord,
but he reply he have no idea to solve this.Well,if so,i wanna move to another place, keep far away from power outage.Maybe next week i am going to search for another apartment.Did you suffer power outage recently, what suffering power outage will cause to you, dear mylotters?

But he could have come up with power backup systems to ensure tenants do not get badly affected during power outage

Sorry about the sleep getting disturbed. That can be annoying. If power outages are common in that area, there is little that the landlord can do. It would be better to move to another area if it is a frequent problem.

@jefferson126 Good that the situation is better this month. A good sleep is must for being effective and productive. If I don't get sufficient sleep, I an like a zombie. I often fall sick if I don't get good sleep for few days.

Power outages are pretty much out of everyone’s hands. I remember we had an ice storm here that took our power out for four days. Then, once, a car hit a power line, and there was an outage for six hours. Of course, the thunderstorms during the summer can cause power outages that last at least overnight. It’s absolutely miserable in the summer when it is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but we’re without a way to fix it. But I understand why you would particularly hate when it happens when you’re trying to sleep.

Moving to a new apartment won't help you if the power goes out. Outages can be caused by a number of things. Most often it's lines being broken or transformers going out. No land loard has any control of what happens outside the walls of their complex or building. No matter where you live, you risk power loss due to grid failure.
At least it was only a half hour,. You're better off finding battery-powered alternate colling options to help during hot summer nights in the event of power loss. While times have changed considerably, high heat can also sometimes lead to tempoary grid failure.

Sorry for what you went through friend. I hope you can find a better place. Here in kenya, I prefer living and working in places with electricity backups so that when there is power outage, there is no serious problem. Most backups here are Solar Power systems and backup automatic generators.

A generator is very useful when power cut off,but it was not common here, because Generator produce power based on gas, besides generator,a family need store enough gas.Usually there are not gas storage in a family, gas is flammable and volatile.
