The Darkest Day

Losing someone you love is like having the wind knocked out of you - it's a crushing weight that settles in your chest, making it hard to breathe. Everything suddenly feels off. The darkest day is filled with a sense of disbelief, as if your mind can't quite wrap itself around the idea that this person is truly gone. Memories flood your mind, both comforting and painful in their reminder of what used to be. It's a day where time stands still, yet also races by in a blur of tears and hugs from well-meaning friends and family. You try to hold onto every detail, knowing that this moment will forever change you and the way you navigate through life without them by your side.

It’s such a difficult thing to exist with, that kind of pain.
