So how are those southern red states feeling about Project 2025 today?

Specifically the plan to break up and eliminate the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as well as drastically cutting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
How are all of the MAGA Trump stans feeling about slashing funding for and eliminating agencies that forecast life-threatening and life-altering devastating storms like Hurricane Helene? Would they be happy if their states were all like "nah FEMA. We're good. We don't need your supplies or financial support to repair/rebuild"?
HAHAHA of course not. They all would be outraged that the federal government would hang them out to dry. And of course these are red states that RELY on federal funding for all sorts of things already. They can't bail themselves out. They need the government's assistance.
This reminds me of Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Ron DeSantis voting against aid to the areas destroyed by Superstorm Sandy back in 2012 who then demanded FEMA assistance when their states were impacted by severe storms. Hypocrites.
Well the insane Project 2025 plan is what Trump will implement if he is re-elected despite his claims that he knows nothing about it. That is beyond laughable. He knows most of the authors of it and he is already espousing some of the less-controversial ideas during his campaign speeches and interviews. No one should believe that he doesn't know about it and/or wouldn't implement it. Trump lies like he breathes. His word means nothing.
Voters in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tornado Alley, Texas, etc. should take a look at the images and interviews coming out of places like Cedar Key and Asheville. Can you imagine those areas having to deal with this hurricane disaster without federal resources? Can you imagine how much worse it would have been if the National Weather Service and NOAA weren't around to warn people in advance to be prepared and/or evacuate? Trump would gut those agencies and you'd be on your own. That is definitely something to think about before casting your vote this year.

I saw one of the MAGA cultists say on Twitter that Asheville got what it deserved because it’s “woke.” Wonder how they feel about Charlotte, home of super-conservative Franklin Graham’s headquarters, being hit….

Trump may be responsible for much of Project 2025, but I doubt he's read the "latest version." Did you see his response to a question in Michigan about how he intends to bring manufacturing jobs to the State? He started talking about his "Man of the Year" award in the State 20 years ago, and never got around to answering the question. He is toast.

Is that where he said that Jimmy Fallon needs to be fired and replaced with Johnny Carson?

They either don't realize or don't care--and very often, they vote emotionally, and against their best interests--then they threaten succession--it is an amazing combination really

We need the National Weather Service, NOAA and FEMA. FEMA was responsible for giving us a check for flood damage to our furnace and hot water heater when we had 12" of rain. Have a good day.
