So sad

I remember getting light up sneakers and other shoes for my kids and older grandkids back in the day. I don’t have much money and we were going to have a lot of rain here. My grandson needed rain boats. So I looked online trying to get some for him quickly. The only place I could find any I could afford and be delivered the next day was from Amazon. The only ones in his size and I could afford were cute ones that had lights on them. I showed them to my daughter and she said they cannot wear light up footwear to school anymore because if they had to hide they would be seen by their shoes! So sad kids can’t where fun stuff anymore because of these horrible people doing school shootings!

That is sad. I think a couple of my kids had light-up shoes. They are just fun. The boys had pumps. When they first asked for pumps, I thought they meant women's shoes. These pumps are shoes you put on and then pump them to fit your feet. It is sad that little kids have to worry about hiding from demented people in school.

@TheHorse They were fun but wore out pretty fast. Or were outgrown.

Are you serious? That sounds kind of lame to me. Would kids be punished for farting or sneezing? Or giggling?

Not sure what you are hinting at. What Dreamer was talking about is when there is a person in the school with a pew pew shooting up teachers and kids. If they have to hide, the light-up shoes may give away their position and they will become targets. There are certain words you aren't allowed to say and I have trouble figuring out how to word things.

@akalinus Not hinting at anything. Just thinking it's sad that kids (in some schools) can't wear their fun flashy sneaker for fear of school shooters.
