A medical scam call

So this lady - Lisa... yeah, I don't believe it from her accent. So, "We are calling to help you or your loved ones with medical help..." Then she goes through a list of things. Now, I know 95% of them, and I don't have them. But the last one... "Are you taking any medication for..." and then she names off something that either I've absolutely never heard of it, or her accent made it unintelligible. I am not saying she's unintelligent, I'm saying I have no idea what she was asking. So... "I don't even know what that is, so, no." "Okay, thank you for the time..." Click. I am not going to say exactly what it was she said, I just didn't know what she said. You guys know I'm maybe a bit better informed on medical stuff then the average 'jo' but... You ever get something and just don't even know what you heard it was so unfamiliar?

Oh, yeah, and I think they are hoping to talk someone into thinking they are getting more, when they are just spending more.

@ElicBxn I get those all the time. They basically list every benifit I already get through medicare/medicaide/United Healthcare. While said company drops tests in my lap for no apparent reason.

@kaylachan I tell you what, even if they listed something I had, I'd'a told them "no"

There is a law that if you ask, they have to take your name off their list. But that is only for their one company and if they buy another list... you are back on it again.

@wolfgirl569 and it is impossible to figure out who they are since they spoof the numbers.

@ElicBxn Many are just scams and don't care about the law

Sometimes my brain farts and I can't understand plain English, so I ask whoever to repeat what they said.

I still get some spam emails, unless they are too annoying I just delete them. However, I had been getting tons of Republican stuff. I'd hit "spam" and they ask if I didn't want to just unsubscribe. No, I tried that at first and they kept coming, so I started hitting spam.

Seems to be scam. Good that you disconnected ,although I would say you stayed a little longer. Again, if it was not a scam , less than 1% chance, they do not know the stuff they are planning to sell. So either ways , not great. I have been receiving such WhatsApp messages and calls in last few years and increasing. A decade ago , it was either Nierian prince or millionaire scams but now , the scams have increased and in different ways. Recently I got a call from a scamster stating Central bank wants to know my debit card details. Well, not worth spending time on unknown calls.

You see, with these medical scams, I have all my health insurance from the State of Texas because I'm retired from there. I call myself a "State slave" because instead of increasing our pay, they would either 1- make our insurance better or 2- give us another holiday. Well, they've maxed out the holidays, the only month without one is October. That is because they took one from there to give us... I think... LBJ's birthday. In case you don't know, President Johnson was from Texas. That might be like Massachusetts giving a holiday for President Kennedy's birthday, or the Adamses - both of them. However, I haven't heard any push so far to give Texas either of the Bush Presidents holidays.
