Do you agree with Trump that most people dont know what an "app" is?

Donald Trump says some odd things in his speeches as his cognitive decline accelerates. "Most people don't know what the hell a phone app is" he said recently. Or something like that. Just sounds like more projection to me. I admit that I avoid downloading too many apps to my desktop or cell phone, as I worry they will "gum things up." I am still (in some ways) living in the 19th Century. But I know what an app is. I am only joking when I say "Iooked for an app store at the mall but couldn't find one." I stole that from the San Francisco Giants' radio and TV announcers. Do you know what an app is? Have you ever "downloaded an app"?

If you have a mobile phone or a smartphone you know what an app is, It just annoys me that I use a desktop PC for working and I hate it when and if anyone asks what app are you using, That does not translate for me because on my desktop I have sites I visit etc, The question is does Trump have a smartphone and what is on his phone?

There is a lot of people that don't or don't use them.
But every presidential hopeful or president has said or done things that are off. Think about Bush and Clinton.
Also, tally up all the stuff Biden has said then we can talk about cognitive decline. LOL

@TheHorse I don't think Trump has said anything that says he is declining. He speaks the same way he always has.

I suspect anyone under 60 knows what an app is, but the older crowd has a lower percentage.

Most people indeed do not seem to know what an app is or how to fill one out to get a job.

I know what apps are. I do not like when my phone downloads them automatically and I go clean them out from time to time.

Depends on what is an app... I've bookmarked World of Solitaire and TheJigsawPuzzles.com but I don't think they download when I go to the sites, but I could be wrong.

May be most people "thing to know" what an app is, in reality they use an app without knowing that it is what in the past was called "software application". Most smartphones are now sold with several apps pre-installed. I use a desktop and I do not download apps for my phone.

I see no cognitive decline when it comes to Trump. But of course the mass media will say that is not the case. Biden on the other hand has that in spades.

@lovebuglena Have you watched his recent speeches? I feel sad for him. But I believe he is responsible for his own fate.

I know what an app is. I read about Trump's speech. That wasn't the only questionable thing he said! Have a good week.

He has lost it. If he ever had it. I am experiencing "cognitive dissonance." On the one hand, I am a psychologist who wants everyone to prosper. On the other, I want Trump to live long enough to see what he has done. That's Shadenfreude. I suppose I have to embrace the part of me that is "evil."

My favorite apps are Mozzarella Sticks and I sure know what they are. I would never put them on my phone though, cause that would just make a big mess.

@xander6464 I wouldn't put Mozzarella sticks on my amp, either.
Amps are like apps but just for music.

I don’t agree with what Donald Trump said about some people not knowing what an app is. Apps have been around for about 15 years, and I was in my twenties when they first became popular. Trump, being much older, shouldn't imply that people are ignorant for not knowing about apps. Everyone, from babies to great-grandparents, is familiar with apps nowadays. These technologies have impacted people’s lives across generations, so saying that is not only inaccurate but offensive
