I am sure that @FourWalls will touch on this. As soon as I saw the news on Facebook, I tagged her in it. Also I'm sure @AmbiePam has heard, or will have something to say. Those are the only two people off the top of my head that I can remember really like baseball. Anyway it was just announced today that Pete Rose has died. I've never been a big baseball fan, but I DO know who Pete Rose is. I think most people, even us who don't watch baseball are well aware of Pete Rose. He's a legend, just like Butkis, and Jordan and others. Anway, RIP Pete Rose The article I have attached is the one I read when I found out, it says he passed at home.

You are the first person to break it to me, and I don’t know why, but I’m surprised. I guess because he was so larger than life. He wasn’t a particularly good man, but he was a hard nosed man who always did his best (I believe it when he said he never bet against his team) when it came to sports. Funny story: Pete Rose’s then wife burst into the CEO’s office one day. She spit out the name of his mistress. The CEO was like, oh no, she found out about his mistress. No, she was mad that the mistress had better season tickets than she did!

Yeah, I remember hearing some stories about him not being very "good" That's funny. It reminds me of a story of my ex's grandpa. He had an affair, that lasted twenty years. When his wife found out. She gathered up his manly pump (if you get my drift), his dirty letters from her, and drove to his work (she was his receptionist) and ran the lady over and threw the stuff and him.

I didn't know this until I read your post. I know him well from when I lived in Philly and he played for the Phillies

I just saw that on Bing. I'm not a baseball fan, but that's sad.
