Where's My Reading Glasses.

The ophthalmologist told me that my eyes are hyperopia, meaning I can see objects well in the distance. It is also known as farsightedness but I the objects near especially the words are all a blur to me. I was prescribed reading glasses only. I bought three pairs of reading glasses so I will have stock. I usually put one in my bag always so I will have one when I'm out. One at home I'm using and the other one for replacement just in case I lost one. I am mylotting when I need to attend to the laundry. When I came back, I am looking for my glasses and cannot find where I place it. So I got the one from my bag. Since I'm not reading yet, I put the eyeglasses on top of my head only to find out that the other one is already in my head. Any funny moments with your eyeglasses?

It happened to me many times, to put my glasses on the top of my head and forgot they were there. I also had hyperopia, now one of my eye is becoming narrowsight and this is a problem with my actual glasses.

@rakski I need to go to the optician and have my glasses built, I cannot buy the ready made anymore, one eye works the opposite as the other.

At least I'm not alone. What do the glasses need in that narrowsight?

I don't use glasses anymore they don't really do anything for my vision. I thought about seeing if I could get them again so I could get a licience, but I've only got one working eye. I'd fail the DMV's vision test because I can't see out of my right eye at all.

You belong to the category 'Absent minded professor' (lol) There is a joke about a mother carrying a baby and then looking for it.

@rakski There is a saying about the baby in Hindi where the mother has her baby in her arms but she is looking all over for the baby.

It is a good thing you got a spare spectacles. I do the same. One would be inexpensive and is mainly for home use and other for the outside world. It helps to have a better lifespan for both spectacles and plus easier on eyes as well. I used to get 3 years for each of these. This is because at times, some power of eyes could change over a period fo time. You could also think of Lasik and get rid of spectacles and well for now spectacles is the way forward. Hope you enjoyed mylotting while doing laundry. I usually mylot when I am relaxing.

I'm not sure about Lasik. I would have to ask the doctor if it is even for me

No, but it happens with my phone. I spend whole minutes frantically searching for it to realize it's been in my hand all that time. That's a lot.

reading glasses makes me dizzy, but the doctor already advised to get a progressive one. I have no funny moments with eyeglasses, but frustration looking for my glasses wipes that I always missed placed that I need to look everyday...

lol My aunt used to put sunglasses on her head. My mother loses stuff all the time. Once she lost her phone and it was in back pocket or once she had in it in her hand.

I have worn eyeglasses since grade school, At one time I wore contact lenses, At this point when I lay down to read I need to take off my glasses to read the fine print so my eyes focus in very well,
