Trash Talkin

Happy Thursday Everyone! Halleluiah the sun is out! Finally after days of rain and clouds we have a nice day. The trash I'm talking about today is plain old garbage. We have two bins for our trash (one for recycling and the other for ordinary garbage) and it's collected on Thursdays. What really boggles my mind is my neighbor across the street. He never puts out a trash bin but only his recycling one. This has been going on for months and I wonder what he does with his daily garbage. No matter how I try to figure out how they (a family of 4) don't ever have any garbage it just doesn't make sense. If he only put out a trash bin and never recycling that would make sense to me. My question is....what does he/they do with their garbage????

That is weird. I wonder what he does with it all. Would he put trash in the recycling bin?

@Marilynda1225 .......Very odd. Maybe he carries it off somewhere in his car.

Doubtful. They're pretty strict here about what can go in a recycling bin

I only put my recycling out every few weeks. Maybe he has got the bins muddled or maybe he composts his food waste but there should still be stuff to go in the trash bin.

I thought maybe he composts but I agree that he still should have some sort of food waste or wrappers to discard. Maybe one day I'll ask him

Do you think he puts it all in the recycling bin, thinking no one will notice until it is too late to find out who included the trash? Because you’re right about it just not making sense.

I don't think he would be able to get away with putting it in the recycling bin week after week. The trucks have cameras so they can see what's being dumped in them

@Marilynda1225 Oh! Then yeah, I don’t know how he accomplishes that.

Do they possibly have a trash compactor or something like that? That would be weird..a neighborhood mystery like where is the guy next doors missing wife? Maybe she is just his GF or maybe they broke up, but someone puts up cutesy flags for the seasons, and I doubt that it is him.

What's ever more perplexing is we're charged for pickup so he's paying regardless. Maybe one of these days I'll get up the nerve to ask him

That is a strange and odd question, and also kind of creepy, what do they do with their garbage. I shudder to think.

It is very strange to say the least. They are wonderful neighbors and not the least bit weird. The only logical explanation I can think of is they compost?

That is strange. Maybe they don't know they are supposed to sort

It is strange but he has to know which pail is for trash and which one is for recycling. The pails even have different color lids.

Maybe they have other way of decomposing it.

I'm glad you have some sun. As for the trash, that's very curious. I am a family of one right now; and I have trash every week. Have a good weekend.

That is odd indeed. May be they just burn the daily garbage.

We're not allowed to burn garbage here but that would make sense if we were able to.
