I have been here for almost 5 months, logging in every day. It has been fun ride so far with only 1 regret of not making it to the payout so far. So today I thought of writing about mylot.
I would love to have a topic subscription feature which would allow us to follow specific topics. This will help dig deeper into old yet wonderful mylot discussions and other such treasures. Right now, the only way is to traverse through tags but not all discussions have tags in them.
With the subscription feature, we get alerts whenever our interests get new posts. Another use would be to get a sense of community based on interests. There could be lot more engagement.
So, what one feature would you like to add to Mylot?

I'd like to see an "archives" tab that would show a rotating display of older posts that have not had responses in a while. All of us have SO many posts and unfortunately most of them die after a couple of days of interactions. Having some sort of "residual" nature to our posts would make things better, I think, both for the site as well as its members.
The "archive" page would simply be something randomly generated, and MAYBE it could be based on what the algorithm sees as our interests similar to the Interesting Discussions tab.

@RevivedWarrior Yes. It could. I take the time to explore myself. But not many people do that.

Thats a great idea and useful too. It could potentially reveal interesting topics as well. Thanks for sharing!

I am sure they would take that into consideration if they could. But it's not feesable. Back when I started years ago, they did have a system like that where you could select different topics to post in or interact in. You can still follow your favorite myloters and use that to see what they're doing. And you do get alerts when they post a new discussion. But, that's as close as you're going to get.

@RevivedWarrior It changed ownership and some of the features I guess weren't cost affective. This was the direction the owners decided to go when they returned monitization.

I would make it a must before anyone joins to say something in your profile. And for me it is also important to know where does the lotter lives when I´m answering a post.

@RevivedWarrior Sometimes it is important to know where the lotter is from and what is his/her age, when you are reading a post.

A good summary is a must and good to know about the person as well. Thanks for sharing!

I would like to see on My Lot a discussion of what is your favorite character in a movie or television.

@RevivedWarrior I have always wondered what makes the Rocky Balboa work as well as some sport stars who are considered feisty.

The "Interesting Discussions" section relies on the tags you've been using and interacting with the most, I guess that's the closest you can get to a topic subscription feature. But yes, it would be cool if we could follow tags/topics the way we can follow people, the way it works on Instagram for example.
I would like emojis to work, we can only use myLot code emoticons because other emojis leave question marks. I've seen a bunch of new members creating discussions with some ??s on them.
