Not an everyday sight

I sometimes work at various events, and one a few days ago was a bit unusual. It was a regional agricultural ploughing competition, produce show, and awards ceremony followed by a dinner for 350 people. We were just involved in setting up the marquee ready for the meal, serving the food, and clearing up afterwards, so that was quite ordinary, but it was what was going on outside while we were setting up that was a bit different. A range of farmers/ ploughmen were driving tractors of various vintages up and down marked patches, carefully keeping the furrows straight and the ends level. And there was also a horse ploughing team – just the one I think – beautifully turned out and doing a lovely job. Not something you see every day nowadays!
