On the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Main Street here in Boise, Idaho is the local landmark, the Egyptian Theater. The architectural treasure opened in 1920 and was the most opulent movie palace in Idaho. By 1970 it was no longer showing movies but in 1999 it re-opened fully restored showcasing the Egyptian hieroglyphs which included a winged scarab, a sun and star motif that surrounded the stage and walls, Egyptian awnings covering the windows, sphinxes on the roof, and bird wings for the ceiling trim. It is a place to behold. It is now used by the community for musical performances and documentary showings.
In the 1950s a man named Joe was the projectionist. As the story goes Joe was walking up the stairs that lead to the projection booth when he had a sudden heart attack and passed away. He had worked there for 35 years. Now he spends his after-life time messing with people. Most of his ghostly activity is in the projection booth and the last row of seats on the balcony.
Since then, employees say that they smell odd odors and hear laughter, but when they go in the direction of the laughter, no one is there. Some have even said that they have felt the touch of someone who isn't there.
There have also been sightings of a woman dressed in 1920s attire, always smiling and walking around different theater areas.
Picture is mine.

@rakski .......Yes. Like soldiers who die on the battle field. I hear a lot of stories about them. They don't understand what happened to them.

Just the decor. Scarabs and pictures of slaves and other hieroglyphs. It very cool to look all around and see the decor.
