Friday (just another routine day)

Happy Friday Everyone! another cloudy day here in my little corner of the myLot world. It was nice to see the sun yesterday and I totally expected to see it again this morning so I was quite surprised to wake up to another day of dismal weather.
Usually on Fridays I have my grocery list ready for either shopping or delivery but we over-bought last week so we don't need anything this week. It's kind of nice not to have to spend money at the supermarket for a change.
My project for today is so exciting I just have to share!!
I'll be cleaning out the cabinet with all the plastic storage containers and sorting through, matching lids with containers and tossing anything that doesn't have a match, looks old and/or worn out. No matter how hard I try to keep containers and lids together they get all mixed up and it's frustrating when I'm looking for a match.
No plans for the weekend which is fine.

You'll love the cabinet after you clean out the plastic containers.
I have very few plastic containers left, I opted for glass, although the downfall to those is that the lids are plastic and they require replacing every so often.
I did the big switch out today, put the freshly laundered summer clothes into the cedar chest and hauled out the fall and winter ones. Now I have alot of laundry to do of the winter clothes, but it will have to wait until next week.

After getting my containers organized and throwing out quite a few, I'm thinking of switching to glass for new ones. At least they'll be able to go in the dishwasher.
I haven't gotten round to switching the summer clothes for cooler weather stuff yet. But I did change my bed and got a new set of sheets, blanket and comforter.

@Juliaacv I have a few plastic containers that I only use for tomato sauce since they are already stained. When I make a tomato sauce I make a large batch with the idea that there will be enough to put in the freezer for future meals. I like the idea of cooking once and eating at least twice.

I really want to go through my clothes especially all the ones I used to wear to work. I have way too many and will never wear them all again even if I have to get dressed up to go somewhere. It's just a matter of getting it done

It's nice and sunny here right now but there is rain in the forecast for today, so I better get dressed and continue with my yardwork while I can. Or I could be lucky and it'll only rain at night, as it has the last few times.

@Marilynda1225 Thanks. I did as much as I could and then when I sat down with a cup of tea, hoping to read some and eat an orange, Juanita phoned and talked my ear off. So, after all that, I managed to read one short chapter before it started to rain a bit. So I packed up and came in at 4:30.

@Marilynda1225 The Xray went so quickly I didn’t really care about the iffy results! I mean, I was dreading it, but wow, it was fast.
The cupping massage has helped me so much I find myself trying to get other people to try it. I am down to almost zero migraines a month.

I'm really happy for you that you didn't have to buy groceries this week! I try to keep all my plastic containers and their lids organized, but the other person I live with often throws them in the cabinet randomly. I end up buying new containers, but I still can't find the matching lids, which is so frustrating! I think I might have to move my plastic containers to my bedroom so I can find them easily.

I* think you also enjoyed your errands the whole day, I love staying at home also and clean the house and fix things inside the house, but I would love to go out next week for a change.

I did that when I was decluttering. I felt so good once it was done. They did stay tidy for a while and now I periodically go through them. I tend to keep takeaway containers if they're reusable but from time to time it all becomes a big mess. lol

I had dim sum lunch with my nephew and my brother and sister-in-law. The foods were great. We had a nice time.
Before I went to lunch, I initiated to upgrade the operating system of my laptop from Windows 10 to 11. When I got home, it was done. I'm glad I finally did it.
