Is this the woman I will be voting for in 2028?

As most of you know, I am a "Liberal in recovery." I grew up in an academic environment, and have devoted my life to "helping the poor."
But somewhere along the way, I realized that "political correctness" was as oppressive as Jim Crow, and I became Conservative.
And then Trump came on the scene.
Please watch this interview with Liz Cheney. Could she become a member of Kamala's cabinet? Could I wind up voting for her in 2028?

I think that she would be a great candidate to return normalcy to the GOP. The problem is the misogyny that has ruled since Orangeface came on the scene is going to be hard to weed out. The fact that 1820s mentality resurfaced so quickly in the 2020s shows that it never truly went away, it was just smoldering below the surface.

And yet we will (I hope) have a woman President in a little over a month. As you know, I am a Conservative (in some ways) and tired of "political correctness." Can Republicans reclaim the Republican party? Or will people like Cheney have to start a new party?

@TheHorse — I’m thinking, given how Republicans are trying to distance themselves from him now, they can kick the orange menace to the curb. If not, then yes, they will have to form a new party.
I’m not into political correctness, either; however, “Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed” is best left as a Kinky Friedman song and NOT a national mandate to women.

I doubt Kamala would put a Republican in her Cabinet...or in her closet for that matter. Have a good weekend.

I could possibly vote for her. It would depend who she is running against. But she has common sense and a good mind.

I believe she wants to remain faithful to her party, she just doesn't like Trump. That's what I got from the interview at least. I'm afraid starting a party from scratch to replace the current Republican one won't be easy at all, but Trump might not be around any longer in 4 years.

I don't agree with many of her views on policy--but she is on the right side of the whole Trump thing and I respect her for that.
