How good are you at keeping secrets?

I remember confiding in someone about someone harassing me, and the first thing they did was go to the person bothering me and chew them out for harassing me. I appreciated the sentiment, but I didn’t want that as they just made it worse. I knew they did it because they were the only one I confided in. To this day, they don’t know I’m aware they were the one who told the sick harasser. They have a good heart so I overlooked it.
Are you good at keeping secrets? I’m pretty good as I don’t like causing trouble, and I never want to let out information someone else doesn’t want told. If I share information, it’s because I know it’s okay.

I was about to write a post on why one should not know other people's secrets. I know a secret and that bothers me.

Yes. I have always been good at keeping secrets. I was able to throw three surprise birthday parties for my mom as she got older.

People don't really tell me secrets per se,,but if it was a legit request not to share I wouldn't.

When entrusted with a secret I am able to keep it.
When given sensitive information, I hold on to that also, even if not asked to.
It is not my place to say certain things.
We should all consider our relationship when we know things and keep them to ourselves out of respect.

Depends on the secret. If it means helping someone or possibly saving a life, you know I'm going to talk about it to the first person I can. I rather them mad at me or never speaking to me again if it saves a life. My husband would tell me everything that happens at pizza hut even if he was told to keep it secret.

If a person tells me to keep quiet, I will do my best since if the shoe is on the other foot, I would not like it at all.

Very good if I told by that person not to say anything. I might tell if it would save the person from serious harm or if they were doing something criminal.

I'm excellent at keeping secrets because nobody tells me any 
For my job, I have to abide by strict rules of confidentiality. I try to operate that way in my personal life as well. Of course, there are some things that should not be secrets.
I tend not to confide in anyone other than my husband, and he forgets everything I tell him!

I feel the same. As my granddaughter said indiginatly when she was little and we had instructed her not to tell about Christmas gifts, "I'm a good not teller."
I can see why you would never want to confide in that woman again.

I believe I am ok when it comes to keeping secrets. What needs to be unshared and kept within me, lies within me. And I do not normally talk about others and even if I knew the topic they are goig to speak on someone else, I would listen and not show any interest onto it. It helps in keeping the gossipmongers away atleast for most things. It is boring in manyways to know others secrets as it may not be useful unless you have to manipulate. Manipulation is not something I am interested in as well. Plus , even if you know certain secrets , just don't bother on that. There are bigger things in life to ponder upon!
