Flora and Fauna: Cats and their love for boxes

Cats love boxes because they feel safe and comfortable in them. In the wild, they hide in small spaces to stay safe and hunt. So a box feels just right. Boxes also keep them warm and cozy, like when my cat loves to squeeze herself to me when I fall asleep. I do not know why she does that. I sometimes shoo her away to leave me some space that I need, and I sometimes wake up in the middle of my sleep and she is sleeping like a baby beside me. Cats are also very curious and playful. A new box is like a new adventure for them. They enjoy trying to fit into small spaces, no matter the size. Even a boxed-shaped paper bag cannot escape from their curiosity!
