Fish oil is often linked to heart health because it contains omega-3 fatty acids. Some studies suggest that taking fish oil supplements can lower the risk of heart attacks, especially for people who don’t eat much fish. Based on a quick research, fish oil might help by lowering blood fat levels, reducing inflammation, and improving blood flow around the heart.
But I guess that not all studies agree. While some research shows clear benefits, there are others that find little to no effect, especially for people without heart problems. I am still not sure in spite of these findings though. I have an aunt who is a nurse, she is married to a doctor, and they sometimes give us fish oil supplements without asking about our medical history.

I think it's like anything. It depends on the person and of course, certain habits can counter any positive effects if there are any. I don't mind taking a supplement. So far as I know it won't harm me, and I would rather be safe than sorry.

Right, anything is good and bad depending on the situation. I'm also taking supplements, but I don't take them all at once on daily basis. Like some fish oil today, Vitamin C tomorrow and a multivitamin the day after. Sometimes I don't take any if I think that the food I ate is balanced enough with all the nutrients my body needs.

I guess it is good for the oldies who have now problem with their BP or hearts, but I don't know if it is advisable to people with problems on their eyes.

I'm not sure about the connection with having eye problems. I'm nearsighted for more than 20 years, I've taken some fish oil but nothing changed.
