What to wear on a plane now?

It has been a while since I have traveled by plane, so I want to know your opinion about the flights. In Israel we are starting to get cooler weather, but it will still go up to the 80's F during the day. What temperature do they keep the planes nowadays? Should I bring my coat on the plane that is good down to 40 degrees F?

I always take a woolen sweater. Planes are cold places.

You never flew on an airplane, well it is expensive, but I had to go to Brussels to arrange some financial matters.
I wore a lightweight shirt, and a overall dress, brought a sweater. I didn't need the sweater. I could have had more water though.
