Life No Rewind

This makeshift stage we call life
slapping me with a script I never asked for
I know nothing of the role I play
each performance an improvisation
words and actions involuntarily spill out
stage fright tearing at my gut
a drunken barfly stumbling through the haze
tripping over the mess of my own making
If only I could rewind, catch a breath
but why even try?
for whatever I did becomes forever the deed
there are no previews, no dress rehearsals in life
failures the point, the scars we wear laughing
at that which is transient and imperfect

I guess that's the proof of we have no control in everything, but it doesn't mean we can stop living, for in every failures there are learnings, and a redirection of our path which was originally planned from above... But I rather keep moving and see what's behind those higher plans from above.
its a nice poem.

Much of life is scripted, but as Shakespeare said, we are actors, and we should do our best to live that script too, rather than just sit in a chair, bored, and uninterested, because we are stuck in a script, we think we never asked for, or wrote.
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits, and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts."
